Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 22, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how BuyBriefly collects and uses information when you visit this website, follow an outbound affiliate link, or contact us. BuyBriefly does not offer user accounts and does not ask visitors to create profiles.
Information collected automatically
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand page views, referral sources, device and browser categories, geography at an aggregate level, and website performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and cookie-free and states that Cloudflare Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data. The Cloudflare analytics beacon does not set an analytics cookie on our behalf.
When you arrive through a URL containing campaign parameters, we may store those parameters in a first-party cookie named bb_attrib. Depending on the link, the cookie may contain UTM source, medium, campaign, content, or term values and advertising click identifiers such as gclid, wbraid, gbraid, or msclkid. The cookie is signed to detect tampering, is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Lax, is sent securely over HTTPS, and expires after 30 days. It is intended for campaign attribution and does not intentionally contain your name, email address, phone number, or other direct contact information.
When you follow one of our affiliate links, we create a random click ID and may record the referring page, landing path, campaign fields, the article, offer and link involved, and the time of the click. We may also store salted hashes derived from a session value, an IP-based rate-limit key, and the browser user-agent string. We do not retain the raw IP address or raw user-agent string in our click records. After an affiliate click, we may set a first-party bb_session cookie containing a random session value for up to 30 days; our database stores only a salted hash of that session value.
Affiliate links and SubIDs
Outbound affiliate links pass through our /go/ redirect so we can record the click before sending you to the merchant or affiliate network. The merchant or network receives a unique click ID as the affiliate SubID. We do not place your campaign parameters, name, email address, raw IP address, or raw user-agent string in that SubID. The destination website operates under its own privacy policy and may collect information independently after you leave this site.
Information you provide
If you email contact@buybriefly.com, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in the message. Please do not send sensitive financial, medical, legal, identity, account, or payment information. We use correspondence to respond to you, investigate issues, and maintain an appropriate business record.
How we use information
We use the information described above to operate and secure the site, understand traffic and content performance, attribute affiliate clicks and commissions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, improve editorial and commercial decisions, respond to messages, and meet legal or compliance obligations.
How information is shared
We use service providers that help host, secure, analyze, and operate the site and its database. Cloudflare processes analytics and network information for its services. When you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant or affiliate network receives the click request and unique click ID and may process information under its own terms. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell personal data. We do not operate a data-broker business, and we do not provide visitor contact information to third parties for their independent direct marketing.
Retention and choices
The bb_attrib and bb_session cookies expire after 30 days. Click, attribution, security, and aggregate reporting records may be retained as reasonably necessary for reporting, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Email correspondence may be retained while needed to address the request and maintain business records.
You can block or delete first-party cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may reduce our ability to attribute a later affiliate click to the campaign that brought you here. You may also browse without clicking affiliate links. Browser privacy controls do not necessarily control data collected independently by a merchant after you leave our site.
Children, security, and changes
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy when our practices or service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
